Cultivating an Anti-Racist Support Network for Transracial Adoptees

A customized, 2-hour virtual workshop designed for transracial adoptive families and their support network to come together meaningfully to ensure they are equipped to support the transracial adoptee in their life.

This engaging workshop addresses the unique needs of transracial adoptees raised by white parents by exploring the intersection of race, culture, and identity within the context of transracial adoption. Facilitated by Angela, the program is tailored to suit each family and incorporates the broader network of the adoptee (kin, friends, community members, religious associates, and workmates) for participation, thus creating a warm, inclusive learning environment. Upon conclusion, families leave equipped with an improved understanding and tools to support their adoptee throughout all stages of identity growth.

Workshop Structure

Pre-Meeting

1:1 preliminary consultation between the adoptive parents and Angela to discuss your goals for your workshop and share more about who is attending your workshop for customization of the workshop. You’ll receive access to download of the Closure documentary (& send to all of your invitees).
