This engaging workshop addresses the unique needs of transracial adoptees raised by white parents by exploring the intersection of race, culture, and identity within the context of transracial adoption. Facilitated by Angela, the program is tailored to suit each family and incorporates the broader network of the adoptee (kin, friends, community members, religious associates, and workmates) for participation, thus creating a warm, inclusive learning environment. Upon conclusion, families leave equipped with an improved understanding and tools to support their adoptee throughout all stages of identity growth.
